Essentials:

Experienced Electrical Technician, (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
Attending breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve with minimal downtime to production.
Improve machinery and facilities through maintenance and modification activities.
Make full use of the computerised maintenance management system and log completion of work on all required maintenance management systems accurately, and in a timely and professional manner.
Carry out PPM and shutdown schedules as necessary and planned work orders as required and provide feedback to develop the system.
Control usable consumable blades, knives and stones etc. ensuring health and safety standards are maintained

Essentials:

Minimum 5 years experience in supervising/managing engineering teams in an automated/semi-automated FMCG type manufacturing environment

Time-served Engineering NVQ or City & Guilds apprenticeship qualification
Experience in developing & encouraging team members and provide opportunities for skill development
Desirables:
Experience of working with PLCs (Programming & Troubleshooting)

Shift pattern: Rolling shift pattern, days and nights.

This role will provide breakdown, preventative maintenance cover and installation work throughout the site.

The successful candidate will have completed an engineering apprenticeship and possess a background in maintenance within a manufacturing environment, with experience in a proactive safety environment.

The role:
Proactive and preventative maintenance, continual improvement projects.
Supporting and engaging with lean manufacturing techniques to work effectively with PLC programmes
Key skills and experience required:
Fault finding, corrective actions and root cause analysis
Control and automation systems
Working with computerised maintenance management systems
Must be able to work under pressure especially when breakdowns arise and production levels are high

Complete fault finding, planned and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
Carry out fault finding, problem solving and establish route cause fixes to address equipment issues
Maintain ongoing communications with the operations team ensuring they are fully aware of all relevant engineering activities and schedules.
Respond to internal customer needs to maximise production up time according to given priorities.
Comply with food safety standards and controls to ensure all work is carried out correctly and safely
Record any stock removed from the Engineering stores to ensure accurate stock control.
Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements to promote Health & Safety and/or operational efficiency and effectiveness.

You will be working for a leading service provider and would need to hold a Level 3 electrical engineering and 17th Edition minimum. Undertaking, electrical and mechanical duties. Very client facing, with looking after both electrical and mechanical systems.

Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance experience on commercial contracts.
Strong Fault-Finding skills
Clean driving Licence
Experience managing on site contractors and ensuring site safety.
Carry out a mixture of PPM & reactive maintenance work on site.
Electrically you will be working on single and three phase systems, fire alarm testing, lighting and power,
Mechanically you will be working on the service of which will include AHU’s, FCU’s, motors, conveyors, bearing belts and sorting out any mechanical plant.
